It never ceases to amaze me how closely cons resemble each other.
You can almost predict their words & actions at any given time.

Con Artist - Tyler Thomas

The fact that the DEC is the hub of misinformation doesn’t help matters either.

In December 2016, a large-scale confiscation of over 300 animals occurred from a residence in Niagara County, New York.  Once it was learned that the target had boarded foxes at the facility after thoroughly vetting the facility owner, Powell took the story and ran, albeit making an even bigger story not long thereafter.  The facility owner, the one charged with animal cruelty, Thomas and his cronies at the agencies worked together to derive stories from the situation such as the target was responsible for the entire confiscation when the only ones she had there were several foxes.  False accusations of starvation and the like were made behind the back of the target so she couldn’t confront the accusers and assert the truth of the matter.   Although the suspicions of the DEC officer onsite the night of the raid may have been in honest error, the way Powell picked up the details of the event and manipulated them was, and still is, criminal.  Clearly, this was a personal matter for Powell –  an agency official who is also considered a public service official but rarely, if ever, acts like one..

Agency staff put their own spin on the situation and were wrong in every sense.  They misreported and misunderstood any association I had with the facility owner who was the one charged with animal cruelty.

Even though I vetted the facility owner, I was still fooled.  She ended up being one of the worst businesses in the exotic animal industry..  After the SPCA raid, I became aware of numerous reports about her business practices in the past as well as her live inventory often becoming ill and treated poorly.
